A one day workshop for people of any gender.
This workshop is based on the stories in the ground-breaking book, The Hidden Lamp: Stories from Twenty-five Centuries of Awakened Women. Sue Moon, one of the editors of the book, and Diane Rizzetto, Guiding Teacher at the Bay Zen Center and one of the contributors to the collection, will help us celebrate the wisdom of our grandmothers as well as our grandfathers through silence, dialogue and writing. These stories and koans—poetic, irreverent, and sometimes very funny, are mirrors for us all. They come from ancient and modern Buddhist women—wives, nuns, queens, and servants. Together, we will meet them and ourselves.
No meditation experience is required.
