Practice & Retreat Info

Everyone is welcome to join us for our activities. We offer Zen Mindfulness Meditation three times a week, retreats several times a year, introductory and advanced classes.

We meditate every Monday morning, Wednesday evening and Saturday morning unless the Center is closed for a retreat or holiday. Before visiting the center, it is advisable to call the center at 510-596-3087 for information on late schedule changes or updates.

Weekly Schedule

Monday Mornings

7:00-7:40 am: Meditation

Wednesday Evening, 6:30 – 7:50 pm

You may attend any portion of the Wednesday schedule, but please do not enter or leave the meditation room in the middle of a sitting period.

6:30-7:05 pm: Meditation
7:05-7:15 pm: Walking Meditation
7:15-7:50 pm: Meditation

Saturday Schedule, 9:00 am – 11:45 am

You may attend any portion of the schedule. However, if you wish to have a private practice consultation meeting with the teacher, please plan to attend the entire schedule.

9:00-9:35: Meditation
9:35-10:00: Community Work
10:05-10:40: Meditation
10:40-10:50: Service
10:50-11:45: Dharma Talk/Discussion
11:45: Informal Tea
